About
Faith Donaldson
Faith Donaldson
wrote “Treasure Found” to find her voice and to change a long-held narrative that influenced how she viewed herself and others.
She shares the long-term effects of trauma and abuse, and how they impacted her choices in life. Venturing into her fears allowed her to discover that in the good, bad, and the ugly of life, there were treasures to be found Through it all, her choices directed the path in front of her. She had to learn to navigate life in ways that did not harm her, hearing messages in her head to believe the truth and not the lies. The long-term effects on her were physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Deep from within, she found the courage to face what seemed impossible and discovered the most valuable of all treasures—her authentic self.
So began a twenty-three-year long journey, where she faced the trauma that had occurred in her childhood and into adulthood. She eventually emerged the emotional conqueror, but her journey still did not end there. In time, she would discover that freedom and peace are not a one-and-done, but rather as a journey—an expedition—that continually opens up into yet another new territory to be explored.
Her book is a selection of stories she experienced, endured, survived, and overcame.
